Winter wonderland workshop

On the 21st December, a group of crafty young artists gathered together to create a selection of festive ornaments and seasonal accessories! Activities included bauble designing and making, clay decorations, printed wrapping paper and a winter wonderland inspired collage. The day was completed with a game of pass the parcel and a mini display of all the children's work. We were very impressed by all the festive creations and we look forward to many more workshops in 2016!

More crafty workshops at Ashdene Primary

During week four of the Art Club, the children got creative with clay and modelled birds. They used references (lots of photos!) of birds and produced beautiful results. They can even be hung on the wall like they're actually flying!

During weeks five and six we made scrap paper pots. Using a plastic bowl as a mould, we used old magazine scraps and PVA glue to line the bowl creating three layers. Because we greased the plastic bowls, the scrap paper pots lift out easily when dried. Great for filling with bits and bobs to tidy your desk! Just remember to take it out of that boring white plastic bowl before displaying!

We got festive in our final session before the seasonal holiday and made greetings cards. There were fantastic Santas, angels and stars... beautiful individual cards for special family members or friends.
